This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is confident handling cases independently and enjoys being actively involved in the litigation process, including courtroom appearances.

The firm offers a collaborative environment with strong support staff, allowing attorneys to focus on practicing law while continuing to grow their litigation skills and professional development.

Position Overview
The firm is seeking a motivated attorney with civil litigation experience and strong courtroom presence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing cases independently and handling matters from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a litigation caseload from initial intake through trial or settlement

  • Conduct court appearances, hearings, depositions, and trials

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

  • Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations

  • Participate in mediation, negotiations, and settlement discussions

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee Bar

  • Civil litigation experience required

  • Courtroom experience is a must

  • Ability to manage cases independently

  • Strong writing, research, and advocacy skills

  • Excellent communication and client management abilities

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
