Purpose Statement

The Production Coordinator will work closely with the Production Group Leader, performing both administrative and hands-on tasks. The role involves approximately 70% time on the production line and 30% administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and staff coordination.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
  • Support daily production schedules by assisting with associate placement and task coordination to meet production orders
  • Spend significant time on the production floor monitoring workflow, safety, and quality expectations
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards
  • Assist with preparing, organizing, and submitting production, safety, and performance reports
  • Support documentation accuracy and completion of required paperwork
  • Communicate production issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly to minimize disruptions
  • Assist in training, coaching, and motivating associates to support productivity and engagement
  • Rotate breaks and lunches for associates to maintain line performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math and computer skills (data entry, reports, basic systems)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments
  • Familiarity with basic production scheduling, coordination, or problem-solving (training provided)
  • Ability to work various shifts, including overtime or weekends as needed
