Job Summary
The Building Services Technician supports the daily operation, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall functionality of assigned facilities. This position performs custodial and light maintenance duties, responds to routine facility needs, and assists with coordinating and monitoring contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with university standards, policies, and operational expectations. The Building Services Technician helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and contractors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to safety and customer service
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and experience in custodial services, general maintenance, or facilities operations
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and cleaning methods
OR - An equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a campus, institutional, or commercial facilities environment
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., TMA)
- Experience working with or coordinating contractors
