- Exercise Program Management: Implement and supervise physical exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
- Patient Assessment & Testing: Perform pre- and post-rehabilitation assessments, including monitoring patient progress and collecting data to document recovery.
- Treatment Planning: Utilize patient data, medical status, and medication regimens to plan and teach therapeutic exercise.
- Monitoring & Safety: Monitor patients during therapy for abnormal responses or contraindications, modifying the exercise plan accordingly to ensure safety.
- Clinical Intervention: Respond to emergencies, including initiating exercise cessation and making referrals to medical professionals.
- Patient & Community Education: Provide exercise education to patients, peers, and the community, including public speaking or education classes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functional.
- Documentation & Administration: Maintain patient files, records, reports, and schedule appointments.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
