Position Description
The Facilities Administrator (ASM) position plans, assigns, and supervises activities of custodial and/or maintenance staff responsible for repairing, cleaning and upkeep, and alteration work on public buildings and other structures. Performs related duties as required.

Typical Duties
- Supervises employees.
- Assigns duties to employees.
- Ensures employees perform work in a correct and efficient manner.
- Evaluates employee performance and productivity.
- Ensures that proper safety standards are maintained.
- Counsels with and corrects employees as needed.
- Plans maintenance, landscaping, and repair projects for buildings and related facilities.
- Evaluates work orders and requests to determine the amount of manpower, equipment, and supplies needed.
- Plans, assigns, and supervises work of custodial and maintenance staff. Studies and reviews field work and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conducts monthly and quarterly safety inspections of facilities, grounds, and all related equipment. Ensure that work is completed properly and on schedule.
- Coordinates activities with crew supervisors.
- Performs administrative functions.
- Conducts staff meetings and in-service training.
- Investigates and resolves or makes recommendations to resolve problems and complaints.
- Keeps accurate records and prepares detailed reports.
- Assists in hiring personnel.
- Answers inquiries from the public.
- Requisitions equipment, materials, and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in building maintenance/custodial services or building systems repair, of which two (2) years must have been supervisory experience.

LICENSES REQUIRED
Valid Driver License

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- OSHA Safety Certifications (10/30 Hour General Industry or Construction)
- Current HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing License(s)
- Specialty Certifications including: Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP),Building Operator Certification (BOC), Government & Public-Sector Relevant Certifications, Certified Public FacilityManager (CPFM), Certified Government Facilities Manager (CGFM), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP),Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
