Primary Duties and Responsibilities: | Watkins College of Art at Belmont University
is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant
Professor beginning 8/1/26. The primary job responsibilities for this
position include a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses in
design from a human-centered perspective and collaborating with design and art
faculty to grow and develop the BFA in Experiential Design. |

The successful candidate will possess at
least two or three of the following requirements: - Strong portfolio in experiential graphic
design, including wayfinding, spatial storytelling, exhibition design, and
physical–digital interaction.
- Experience in teaching/using Adobe
Creative Cloud, Figma, and spatial/3D/Game design tools (SketchUp, Rhino,
Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.).
- Proficiency across the UX process,
including user research, concept development, prototyping, testing, and
post-launch iteration.
- Strong commitment to staying current with
evolving industry practices, tools, and technologies.
- Ability to collaborate
(Design/Research/teach) from an interdisciplinary perspective.
- Commitment to creating inclusive,
accessible spaces for all students.
- Motion graphics (After Effects) and
digital media integration are a plus.
Additional responsibilities include
academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and
