Safety Manager &- Civil Excavation & Site Development

A growing and well-respected civil contractor is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations across excavation, grading, underground utilities, and site preparation projects. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across multiple active job sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with crews, and driving proactive safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • & Lead and enforce company-wide safety programs and procedures
  • & Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • & Ensure OSHA and company compliance standards are me
  • t& Coordinate and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs
  • & Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
  • & Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
  • & Work closely with field teams, superintendents, and project managers
  • & Promote a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • & 5 years of construction safety experience preferred
  • & Experience within civil, excavation, grading, or heavy construction required
  • & Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and excavation safety standards
  • & OSHA 30 required; additional certifications are a plus
  • & Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • & Ability to manage multiple active jobsites
