Essential Duties and Responsibilities- CNC Machinists
- Set up and operate Okuma CNC mills and lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Load programs, make offsets, and adjust machine settings as needed.
- Perform tool changes and monitor tool wear.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience operating and setting up Okuma mills and lathes required.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T preferred.
- Proficient with precision measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, coolant, and metal chips.
